Oracle Tax Consultant
Job Description/Qualifications
* A competent professional with experience in Oracle R12 modules that impact tax. Preferred experience with the following Oracle modules:
o E-Business Tax
o Trading Community Architecture
o Order Management / iStore
o Receivables
o Purchasing / iExpense
o Accounts Payable
o Supplier Master / iSupplier Portal / (Withholding Tax application)
o Fixed Assets
o Project Accounting
o General Ledger
* Financial consolidation processes and applications (e.g. Hyperion applications)
* MBA or Chartered Accountant with experience in Finance, Accounting, Taxation and Auditing
* Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
* Effective communications with strong relationship management skills
* Team player, adhering to the timelines for finishing deliverables
* Knowledge of business and tax processes, creating functional specifications, identifying and developing requirements for new reports, preparing test scripts and providing user training and support
* Indirect tax (VAT, Sales/Use) and/or Direct tax (income, provision) experience is also preferred
Analysis & Problem Solving
* Strong ability to diagnose application problems quickly, apply technical solutions to business issues, communicate to team, and recommend and develop effective solutions
* Experienced in analyzing daily problems for trends and taking steps to avoid recurrence
* Proactive in the identification and resolution of issues that may negatively impact a project or deliverables
* Combine knowledge of application, understanding of business processes, personal experience, research capabilities and interaction with other resources to identify specific problems and propose solutions,
