Experience required for the Job: 9 - 15 years Job Location: Bengaluru/Bangalore Dear Candidate, This is Nagavenu from Comcast Solutions This is with regards to a job opening with Cisco Location : Bangalore Role : Experienced Protocol Development Engineer Experience Range : 9 - 15 years Job Description : Network Operating Systems Task Group designs and develops high-performance system software for various Cisco Platforms which includes Enterprise Switching & Routers, Datacenter Switches, Service Provider Routing Platforms. Our Team develops the Complete Network Operating Software stack right from Core OS, to System Infrastructure to Network Protocols and Application Software and works in close collaboration with Platform development teams to enable the OS on the existing and future platforms. This group’s ownership also spans Core Operating System Blocks, Network/System Infrastructure technologies including Debug-ability, Packaging, Modularity, InService Software Upgrade (ISSU), Logical Routers and Manageability aspects of Operating System Software. Some of the key networking technologies driven by the team include L2, MPLS/GMPLS protocols, IPv4/v6 Unicast and Multicast Routing Protocols, Mobility, Security and Broadband Protocols and Applications We require creative and talented engineers with experience in developing high-quality networking products on schedule, with strong communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, as well as maintaining existing features and areas. Specific Skill Requisites: • Good experience in developing embedded s/w in C/RTOS, under multi threaded environment. • Exposure to development of large/complex network devices including routing/switching systems. • Strong hands on implementation experience with one or more the following: • IP Unicast routing and/or Multicast protocols • MPLS/GMPLS domain protocols. • Security and Mobility protocols • Broadband Protocol and Application Development including DHCP, AAA, DNS, subscriber management and policies. • Ability to create and work on Solutions Independently. • Demonstrated ability to work with technical interfaces in multi-location, across business units. • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must utilize these skills to communicate effectively across all groups in the organization.
