Java/J2ee Specialists
Job Description: Quickly capture and identify the performance impact of application design and architecture choices based on prior experiences and expertise in designing/building systems to meet non-functional requirements. Review and provide highly scalable architecture and design advice to architects, developers and technical support people involved in the design and deployment of the application. Drive solutioning for scalability and high availability. Use code profiling tools, static analysis tools etc to proactively identify bottlenecks and hotspots. Critique / Review architecture, design, code and articulate findings and recommendations convincingly to customers and business partners. Ensure that good performance design principles and best practices are applied by developers throughout an application’s development life cycle. Mentor the team. Candidates will get an opportunity to develop end to end performance engineering and analysis capabilities and expertise in multiple middleware products which make up composite solutions. Applicants should be open to short term travel to customer locations.
Candidate should have 9+ years of hands-on experience in Java and J2EE application architecture and development of large applications (involving EJBs, Servlets, JSP, XML, JDBC, Messaging). Experience in development tools like Rational Application Developer and Eclipse. Awareness/Experience in using different frameworks like Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JPA etc. Demonstrated experience in review of architecture/design and code, profiling and code refactoring. Experience in using J2EE design patterns and ability to find anti-patterns in design/code. Working experience in using features of products like WebSphere Application Server/WebLogic/JBoss. Awareness of Messaging, Enterprise Service Bus Platforms/products, J2EE security and integration of J2EE components with Web/Portal and Legacy systems. Experience in modeling (UML usecases, component diagrams, sequence diagrams) is an added advantage. Experience in using some of the following products is desired though not mandatory: WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Process Server, iLog/WebSphere BRMS, Websphere MQ/Message Broker, DB2 or Oracle RDBMS.
Educational Qualification: BE / B. Tech. (Computer Science, Information
Technology, Electronics and Communication) or MCA or M.Tech
