Tech QA / Architect
Qualifications:
- Bachelor"s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years as a java application architect
- 5+ years developing in a J2EE environment
- 3+ years scripting automated deployments, tests, etc.
- 5+ years" experience working with web services as either a consumer or provider
- 2+ years exposure to ESB / SOA technologies and concepts
- 2+ years with build tools such as Ant or Maven
Assets
- Experience utilizing Mercury Load Runner
- Experience with I TKO LISA Virtualize a plus
- Experience with IBM DataPower appliances a plus
- Experience with XSLT is a plus
- Experience with WTX is a plus
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
* Set team direction, goals and priorities.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
* Delegate tasks and responsibilities and track progress against goals.
Test Architecture and Development
* Design and develop solutions to automat and enhance critical application testing initiatives.
* Provide analysis of defects and drive to solution.
* Identify problem patterns, structural and procedural weaknesses and develop solutions to mitigate.
* Develop and implement automated testing policies and procedures focusing on regression, performance and function.
* Work collaboratively and interact extensively on a daily basis with other subject matter experts with the team that are all currently located onshore.
General Requirements
* ***Most work a shift with significant overlap with existing onshore staff
* Most work with existing Tech QA/Architect on a daily basis
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
* Ability to lead a team.
* Excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people. Must be proficient in English.
* Must be able to participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
* Demonstrated ability leading projects / initiatives, ability to work independently, and comfortable collaborating and making decisions with fellow architects
* Demonstrated ability to apply statistical analysis to identify issues and problem areas across the SDLC.
* Must be able to work US business day full time to allow for real time collaboration with other architects across the team
* Minimum of 3 years" experience as a Web Sphere Application Server administrator in a large scale environment
