We at ABC Consultants have an excellent opportunity for you as a Software Architect with one of our clients.
Position: Software Architect.
Location: Hyderabad.
Primary Responsibilities:
 Define and maintain the target architecture
 Document, maintain and communicate the big picture continuously.
 Define and maintain design/development/quality guidelines, policies and standards, structures and models, lists of approved technologies and frameworks, service nomenclatures, design repositories
 Relevant innovation in technology, tools, processes with a close watch on the world outside through concepts, benchmarks and evaluations.
 Percolate innovations and new technologies with a measured approach (proofs of concept, phased adoption, etc.)
 Ensure target architecture and technology roadmaps are aligned with business values, needs and strategy
 Evangelize and share relevant knowledge throughout the organization at all levels
 Promote the needs for change/innovation with the business leaders, product management, planning organization by presenting the correct business case
 Facilitate and provide consultancy on target architecture
 Control the architecture across the technology organization by defining and implementing an Arcitecture Governance process, which includes architecture and design review programs.
 Work closely with the IT Service Solutions team, with a special focus on drafting SLAs
 Work closely with the Information Security team
 Support Core Technologies in devising and maintaining Technology Roadmap

Qualifications, experience and knowledge:
Essential:
 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
 Strong interpersonal skills - capable of communicating and influencing at all department levels and with both technical and non-technical individuals
 Strong technical background, with hands-on solution design experience for complex problems
 Excellent understanding of Object Oriented programming
 Demonstrable expertise in multiple technology areas (including hands-on development, debugging), at least 2 of which should be from the list below:Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, Java, ActiveMQ, Terracotta, Esper, Drools, Flash, Flex, Spring, OSGi, Javascript and Rich HTML web building
 Should be able to work on multiple parallel streams in short spans of time
 Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring qualities
 Experience working with stakeholders / vendors abroad
 Readiness to learn new things and an eye for problems
Desirable:
 Software product development experience
 Knowledge of formal modeling methodologies
 Contributions to Open Source Software
 Experience working in large-scale B2C companies
