Job Overview
============
This position is responsible to help design and perform complex measurement studies characterizing product performance and stability in demanding real world situations. Use a variety of tools including industry standard benchmarks, as well as custom developed test software, to observe product performance across diverse hardware, operating systems, application servers, and databases. Help construct specialized scenarios to measure product scalability, stability, and fault tolerance. Resulting data will be used to enhance performance and scalability of the core product against a baseline. In addition, help consolidate, analyze, and present data in formal capacity planning guides containing formulas, scenarios, and best practices.
Skills â€" Very strong experience on Performance Testing Tools like loadrunner, performance tuning and other concepts. Work experience on Wily Introscope product will be added advantage.
Key Responsibilities

* Design and run extensive overhead, scalability, stability, and stress tests using industry standard benchmarks and custom developed software
* Work with Development and Support to reproduce customer performance problems
* Analyze test results and write capacity planning / customer best practice guides
* Automate test scenarios using Java, Jython, or other scripting languages
* Maintain test lab equipment and improve testing efficiency and test lab utilization
* Extend stress test, verification, application simulation tests in Java, J2EE, C#, .NET
* Extend sophisticated automation frameworks in Java
* Review automation designs from other engineers
* Review test results from other engineers
* Specify hardware for labs required for testing
* Establish / maintain consistent automation standards and designs
* Establish / maintain consistent performance data representation and sizing guides
* Strategize mechanisms to improve team efficiency
* Research new technologies
* Mentor team members and external teams on Performance concepts and methodologies
* Implement reference standard testbeds and automation for Engineering |
