Position- Java- Tech Lead
Location- Gurgaon
Experience - 8-11 Yrs
Essential:
• 8+ years of total experience
• Strong design, analysis experience Java/J2ee Enterprise application development. Strong experience in UML/OOAD and SOA based design patterns.
• Core Java, J2ee (JSP, Servlets, EJB, Web Services), SOAP, XML/ XSL, JAXB, JDBC, JMS, JavaScript, Design Patterns, OOPS, UML, Eclipse / WSAD/ RSA (preferred), IBM WAS 5.1 / 6.1, Oracle/PL SQL, TOAD, JSF 1.1 (IBM implementation preferred), Struts 1.2.4, Spring, Axis, Ant / Apache Maven, Log4J
• Experience in Rational tool sets like RSA, RAD etc
• Leading the developers through the various SDLC lifecyle stages
• Strong communication and presentation skills
Desirable:
Experience of working in global environment of Financial/IT companies spread in various geographies
Qualifications:BE /MCA/MBA from good college / university
Desirable:Technical certifications like Sun or IBM Certifications
Technical Competence
Essential:
• Experience is working with Rational tool sets
• Experience in delivering project on RUP methodology
• Having understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
• Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
• Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other
Desirable:
• Experience creating screen prototypes and/or wire frame screen diagrams
• Awareness of international business practices and culture Behavioural
• Good communication skills â€" listening, Written

Purpose of the Role:
• The purpose of this role is to provide technical leadership in order to produce system designs and architecture leading to a system that is scalable, robust, performance and flexible, whilst contributing to delivery
• Work with Project Manager, Team Leads towards achieving the committed project delivery milestones
Activities:
• Undertake full technical responsibility of a system/platform by ensuring end-to-end ownership of all technical aspects, including monitoring output of others, implementing best development practices, input to project plans, understanding business domain an d proactively improving system scalability, robustness, performance and flexibility
• To ensure delivered software is maintainable and supportable, and is coded with attention to robustness, performance, stability, scalability and testabilitys
• To contribute effectively to projects by preparing and getting agreement on designs and architecture, leading code reviews and hands-on software development
• The ability to analyze the various quality dimensions including performance, reliability and resilience, and design and implement improvements to meet them.
• To ensure decisions related to own area of responsibility are taken promptly and effectively while displaying a mature understanding of commercial awareness
• To enhance the technical capability of the team by providing mentoring, coaching and training of individuals
• Review deliverables (Design, code) from other designers or 3rd Party
• Contribute in a positive fashion to achieve a win-win situation in conflicting situations

• Project Estimation
• Design, Coding, code reviews, unit testing Design documentation, Support documentation
• Understanding of Infrastructure requirements of application

Scope of Role:
• Analysis, design, code reviews, task estimation, software development, meeting timelines, testing, mentoring, taking part in recruitment activities, L3 support (pre and post production), participating in deployment & stakeholder communication
People Management:
• Technically lead approx 8 people
