Position: Java Team Lead
Location: Chennai
Essential:
• 7+ years of experience in developing & managing projects in Java/J2EE
• Experience in using RSA.
• Experience of managing Java development teams
• Experience of managing multi-stream development environment and infrastructure
• Good presentation and inter-personal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Strong team player; able to accept and deliver assistance to meet deadlines; self-directed, organized, capable of multi-tasking, and willing to shift priorities to meet business needs
• Ability to prepare Functional Requirements and Design Documents.
• Ability to understand and review Functional Requirements and Design Documents prepared by others.
• Experience in using RSA for application development
• Good knowledge in OO design principles and UML
• Good Knowledge Java and J2EE - JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, JDBC, JMS
• Knowledge in Spring /Struts , Hibernate/SqlJ framework
• Knowledge in Application servers WAS / Weblogic
• Knowledge of JUnit, ClearCase configuration management tool
• Good Knowledge of Quality Principles.
• Expertise in producing quality technical documents.
• BE / M Tech / MCA from good college / university
Desirable:
• Domain experience in Banking
• Experience of having worked with vendor
• Experience in Rational RSA tool-set.
• Enrolled in people management programme in current job
Job responsibilities:
• Work closely with the UK team and TSI Project Manager to understand requirements.
• Independently own small or medium projects; responsible for schedule, budget and quality.
• Contribute to stakeholder management along with project manager.
• Customer expectation management, resulting in high customer satisfaction scores
• People Management, resulting in high employee satisfaction
• Provides accurate status on deliverables and risk throughout the project
• Team Performance and Talent Management
• Risk & Issue Management
• Change Management
• Contribute to knowledge repository.
• To ensure a clear understanding of project status, direction and business impact, by using appropriate channels of communication with business stakeholders, technology partners, peers and project teams
• Internal RBS team size close to10 along with responsibility of supplier engagements and supplier deliverables into RBS (supplier fixed price engagements running out of supplier premises)
• Supervise direct reporting lines and their activities effectively;
• Support and encourage staff development by agreeing objectives and training requirements and reviewing these periodically;
• Ensure effective communication with management, employees and vendors.
