Job Description for DB Portal Senior Developer/Technical Lead
• Minimum 9 years of experience working on medium to large enterprise-scale applications on Java platform
• Minimum 4 years of experience in design and development of web-based applications using: Java 1.5+, JSP 2.0, Spring MVC 2.5+, Hibernate 3.x, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX (preferably JQuery)
• Strong knowledge of Databases and good understanding of DB admin functions
• Hands-on experience in object-oriented design, design patterns, and professional development standards
• Candidate should have experience designing graphical-user interfaces and good communication skills
• Working knowledge of CVS or some other repository technology and a strong understanding of the deployment process
• Hands-on experience in writing solid code, debugging, refactoring, performance tuning, conduct design and code reviews, and ability to realize common components
• Working knowledge of Tomcat, SVN, JIRA, and UNIX OS
• Lead a team of 4-5 developers and steer application development through various phases
• Collaborate with other stakeholders such as project managers, business analysts, QA, and production support teams Experience of supporting the application through UAT and Production phases
Required Skills: Java 1.5+, JSP 2.0, Spring MVC 2.5+, Hibernate 3.x, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX (preferably JQuery)
