The requirement as follows:
Title: Software Engineer II / Senior Software Engineer
This position will involve working as a Software Engineer II / Senior Software Engineer in the Tools Dev Team as a part of the Tools Development Center of Expertise in Progress Software India. This team is responsible for all the development and management tools that are part of Tools Development.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. The successful candidate for this position will need to be highly motivated and be a technical heavyweight. Being a self-starter and having excellent communication is essential.
Education
* BE/B.Tech/ MCA from reputed institutions
Experience:
* 2 to 3/4 to 5 years experience in software development with a
strong background using Java
Qualifications:
* Very strong and solid programming fundamentals and skills in Java
technologies and Web Technologies
* Strong technical and debugging skills
* Hands on experience with an evolved javascript web toolkit ( Ext
, YUI or dojo - in that order ) is a must
* Good exposure to the latest trends in Web development - CSS, HTML,
ActionScript, etc
* Solid programming skills especially in Java and a strong interest
in cutting-edge web development
* Exposure to a variety of platforms and technologies (Windows,
UNIX, SQL)
* Ability to converse effectively from a remote location
* Ability to work with other teams closely such as Product
Management, Quality Assurance, Documentation and others
* Come up with good technical specifications
* Good communication skills a must
* Good critical thinking skills
* Good design skills
* Self driven
* Can schedule and prioritize well
* Passion, enthusiasm for technology and solutions
* Eclipse/Swing experience is desired
* Understanding of XML is desired
